I am using the trial version. Is it normal that I can not change the CSV file data base???October 9, 2015 at 11:42 am #321John BrockKeymaster
You should be able to edit the three CSV files in User Settings – Check out this YouTube video for more details https://youtu.be/ml5DBvXvrEg
We did have an issue initially but it should be corrected, depending upon the time you downloaded the trial. Do you see icons to the right of each CSV file? The “Choose File” icons to the left allow you to import your own CSV file (or view the one currently there) and the icon to the right allows you to open the folder where it is located and edit the file directly, save it and it should be good to go from there.
Again, you may need to update to latest version, and please excuse the hurdles on first launch, we just went live a week ago.

I am trying the trial version before I dive right into the full version, but I am not seeing the option to change the csv files under user settings. I was curious if it’s because it’s the trial. I know you answered this above, but I am a bit confused. Has this option changes since you last responded to this question. I download it from your site today, version 1.11.
I also wanted to acknowledge and give you props for modeling all the elements that you do pertaining to constructing a house/project. I am a design/builder and I do the same. Glad to see I am not the only one who feels that it is extremely helpful to do it before you get on site. There are so many potential issues that I am able to sort through before construction starts. All that is in addition to figuring out take-offs from my model. Estimator is a no brainier for me, but I have my own cost codes that I want to input and was wondering why my trial differed from your comment above and the video describing it. Can’t wait to get it sorted out and get going.November 30, 2016 at 10:39 pm #4937John BrockKeymaster
I can certainly help you. You can definitely edit your cost codes, vendors, and units displayed. Here is a blog post about it. Feel free to email me directly with any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org

Thanks John! It was one of the last blog posts I hadn’t got to yet.
