I created a new material in Sketchup. In this case it was called Grey Melamine.
I saved it in my materials folder in Sketchup. I painted my simple component with that material
and then opened Estimator and clicked on the materials tab, then clicked on the component.
I would then expect to see ‘Grey Melamine’ as a material option in the ‘material selected’
pull down menu but the only option is ‘material 2’. Is this because I have the trial version
or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Steve-

The trial version is fully functioning so that would not cause any issues. Yes, IF an item is selected, Estimator will read its name if component, display Layer if on one, and the material name under materials tab.

Could you possibly email me the file in question so I can take a look.

    Thanks!
